Diamond Builders of America Named NARI 2006 Regional
Contractor of the Year
Matthews, NC January 2006 – The National Association of
the Remodeling Industry (NARI) has named Diamond Builders 2006
Regional Contractor of the Year (CotY) in the category of Commercial
Specialty. Diamond Builders of America is now eligible for the
National CotY Awards which are to be held later this year. Winners
of the CotY awards were selected by a panel of impartial judges
who are experts in the remodeling industry; and judging was based
on problem solving, functionality, aesthetics, craftsmanship,
innovation, degree of difficulty and entry presentation.
Nick Cicali Wins Hope Award
Matthews, NC December 2005 – Nick Cicali, Diamond Builders’ president,
has received the 2005 Hope Award from the Greater Charlotte
chapter of the National Association of the Remodeling Industry.
The Hope
Award recognizes professionalism and commitment to the remodeling
industry.
Diamond Builders Wins Contractor of the Year Award
Matthews, NC December 2005 – NARI of Greater Charlotte,
the local chapter of the National Association of the Remodeling
Industry, has awarded Diamond Builders of America, Inc. the Contractor
of the Year Award in the category of “Design/Build” for
a group home Diamond Builders renovated. This award was won
with architect Steve Englehardt who works with Diamond Builders
as
part of its design/build team.

its Twentieth Anniversary

The Family Center Thanks
Volunteers
Matthews, NC Spring 2005 – In their publication
Hope Grows, The Family Center openly thanked all the generous
volunteers who helped make Arosa House a safe, comfortable
place for children to live. Among those thanked was Diamond
Builders’ Nick
Cicali, for his leadership and dedication to the project.
Coordinating with the local chapter of NARI, Nick helped
bring in the resources
and labor needed to repair and renovate the safe haven
for battered and neglected children.

Also Licensed in South Carolina
Matthews, NC January 15,
2005 – Diamond
Builders of America, Inc. is pleased to announce that
it is now licensed to provide remodeling services in both North
and South
Carolina. Diamond Builder’s president Nick Cicali
stated, “We’ve
been blessed with clients who have allowed our business
to have served the greater Charlotte area for almost
20 years. Because
of their faith in us, we are now able to provide quality
remodeling services to clients in South Carolina as well.”
Diamond
Builder Project Manager Receives Master Trainer Certification
Matthews,
NC January 12, 2005 – Nick Cicali, president of Diamond
Builders of America announced today that Ron Shepherd, project
manager and lead carpenter for Diamond Builders, has earned his
certification to teach construction techniques to instructors
in academically accredited programs.

Luxury Living Magazine 
Matthews, NC January 2005 – With repairs
on Arosa House finally complete, Nick Cicali of Diamond
Builders was mentioned in South Park Luxury Living
Magazine for his consistent
dedication to providing the children who live there
with a safe, nurturing place to call home. The article
features a picture
of Nick, as well as an exterior shot of the safe haven.
Working with The Family Center which runs Arosa House
and the
local chapter of NARI, Nick Cicali oversaw the time-critical
repairs as well
as the complete renovation of the home. As construction
came to a completion, many other local organizations
and volunteers
provided basic necessities, such as furniture, appliances,
and bedding for the children.
Nick Cicali in Charlotte Observer
Matthews,
NC July 19, 2003 – Nick Cicali, owner of Diamond
Builders of America, was featured in The Charlotte
Observer for his volunteer
efforts repairing a home for battered and neglected
children. The home called Arosa House was in severe
need of immediate repairs.
As the de facto foreman at Arosa House, Nick recruited,
coordinated, and led other NARI volunteers contributing
materials and labor.
Also working on Arosa House were local high school
and Charlotte Community College construction students.
Nick was quoted as saying, “It’s
an opportunity to teach kids to be givers.” Through
his work, Nick had not only provided a home for children
in need,
but also instilled the value of helping others into
the local students.
 Helping Students Help The Community
Matthews, NC April 2003 – With the
guidance and supervision of Nick Cicali and Ron Shepherd of Diamond
Builders of America, Inc.,
students
from the Phillip O. Berry Academy of Technology participated
in a NARI playhouse project for the community. Each
playhouse built was displayed and sold at an auction, with proceeds
going
to an organization for abused and neglected children.
The program gave students an insight on the construction business,
learning
how to dimension a drawing, calculate measurements,
develop material lists, do a cost analysis, and perform for clients.
Nick was
quoted as saying, “Our goal is to give students
an insight into their future and help them guide towards
their goals. This
program is for the betterment of our industry and the
betterment of the community.”

Matthews, NC February 2003 – Nick
Cicali, president of Diamond Builders of America announced

Nick Cicali Earns
Prestigious Certified Remodeler (CR) Designation
Matthews,
NC June 2001 – Diamond Builders of America president Nick Cicali
has received a National Association of the Remodeling
Industry
(NARI) designation as a Certified Remodeler or CR.
In addition to requiring five or more years in the industry,
the CR certification
requires four months of study culminating in an 8 hour
exam. We are pleased to say that Nick’s CR scores were
among the highest in the nation.
