1/ More Storage? Yes!

There’s no excuse for inaccessible kitchen cabinet spaces anymore with the variety of storage solutions available today. Wellborn offers all kinds of specialized cabinet storage: drawers for cutlery or utensils, divided tray cabinets for large serving trays or baking sheets, and pullout shelves for spices or pots and pans.

Rev-A-Shelf’s Above-Appliance Pullout is a door-mounted shelf that turns hard-to-reach cabinets, like the one above the refrigerator, into functional space for storing everyday items or small appliances. Their Three-Tier Blind Corner Optimizer means no more losing something forever in the dark recesses of a corner cabinet.

Food leftover containers always create cabinet chaos. Rev-A-Shelf’s Food Storage Container Organizer brings back some sanity with adjustable dividers and pegboards that allow limitless customization to fit your container storage needs in a pullout shelf.

2/ Putting the “App” in Appliances

With a phone, tablet or computer, today’s many smart home innovations allow you to connect, monitor and control appliances from wherever you are.

The LG Smart InstaView™ Refrigerator adds more features to a previous model that introduced a door that turns transparent with just two knocks on it, allowing you to see inside the refrigerator without opening the door. Now you can access a variety of Wi-Fi enabled features directly on the refrigerator or use Amazon’s Alexa to search recipes, play music, place Prime-eligible orders from Amazon including groceries, and more. A camera captures images of the interior which are accessible via smartphone, using the LG SmartThinQ™ app, in case you’re grocery shopping and need to check if you’re out of milk.

GE Appliances has also added Amazon Alexa skills to many appliances, including refrigerators, dishwashers, wall ovens, ranges, and more. With voice-activated controls, you can preheat the oven or check on the internal temperature of a roast while it’s cooking. Bosch Dishwashers can be connected to Amazon Dash to automatically reorder detergent before you run out!

3/ Pets are Family Too!

According to a recent survey, nearly a quarter of home remodeling and improvement projects include something for pets. So, you certainly don’t want to leave them out of your kitchen upgrades. Since feeding your dog or cat is a daily chore, why not install a built-in feeding area to make it easier?

Kitchen cabinet customization can include a built-in food and water station tucked away neatly on a low shelf. And a slide-out drawer can store dog food right where you need it, making it no longer necessary to drag around a huge bag of kibble at feeding time.

So…if you’re ready, we’re ready! Let’s make this National Home Improvement Month one that makes a big difference in how much you love your home. Don’t let another year go by living in a home you don’t absolutely love.
